Project Overview
An end‑to‑end shop experience for baby and maternity products navigation by needs, rich product pages, and fast checkout optimized for trust, clarity, and conversion on mobile.
Role & Collaboration
Owned UX/UI across catalog IA, filters/sort, PDP, cart, checkout, and a reusable component library.
Partnered with merchandising/marketing on naming, bundles, cross‑sell, and education blocks.
Delivered tokens, specs, and templates to accelerate campaigns without visual drift.
Process
Audit: Reviewed common new‑parent tasks and stress points; mapped must‑have content and signals (age, weight, alerts).
IA & Flows: Clear entry points for Today, Track, Learn, and Help; one‑hand navigation and predictable states.
Design: Soft contrast palette, large type, generous spacing, and distinct states for reminders, warnings, and errors.
Validation: Quick tests on first‑week onboarding, adding entries, and scanning articles during disruptions.
Handoff: Modular components (cards, chips, checklists, timers) and export rules for rapid iteration.
Solution Highlights
Guided catalog: needs‑based IA, simple filters, smart sort, saved views.
PDPs that convert: big visuals, easy variants, key info up front, reviews by the CTA.
Trust by design: clear shipping/returns, payment marks, certifications, real photos.
Streamlined checkout: guest‑first, autofill, progress, clear totals, wallets.
Mobile a11y: large targets, strong contrast, helpful errors, sticky CTAs.
Impact & Outcomes
Faster find with cleaner IA and filters.
More adds‑to‑cart by surfacing proof/logistics early.
Quicker launches with a tokenized component system.
Lessons Learned
Clarity and proof win benefits, care, certifications early.
Simpler variants cut drop‑offs.
Context beats generic FAQs at decision time.
